    Default Water testing

Does anyone know of a local San Antonio store that will test your saltwater - looking for calcium levels....I have the other tests for nitrate/nitrite/etc.
    Thanks!

Not sure about SA but most in Austin will do the water test for you. Not sure about Cal test though....they always say bring in some water. I've personally never taken in water.

I think most of them in SA will test, but call first - some only do it on certain days/hours. I know AA and TxTropical do water testing, not sure about the others.

BTW - After the cost of a few tests, you would be better off buying a Salifert Ca test kit.

You can purchase an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Ca test kit for very little money (I bought mine online for under $7). I have found the brand to be pretty accurate. With calcium, just knowing your results once isn't too helpful, though. You need to test weekly at least. Calcium testing is done so that you can see if you need to add it, and how much, based on the rate of depletion.

Default water tests in San Antonio

I have had water tested at Petland (281 & Bitters) and Aquatic Warehouse...also at Forever Pets although I do not know if they have the calcium test there.
