I know it's not the same but sorta is. In my wet dry I put rubble in the area where the bio balls usualy go. I even added pods to this area from IPSF thinking it would be the perfect breeding grounds with no predators. Well 6 months later and theres not a pod in sight. There are a few sponge type things in there along with some sort of aptasia looking things (not aptasia) but this area does connect into the return pump area. Don't know if this helps.
