    Default Uniterruptible Power Supplies

Don't know if anybody is interested or not but I found a place in N.Texas with excellent pricing on UPS units. Fast shipping and great people.
I ordered one and figure that I should be able to run the return pump and a pair of Tunze Streams for around 3 hours in the event of a power outage.
If anyone wants to check this place out, the web address is:
    www.secure-power.com

You need to speak with Bruce Hopkins. I had a small issue with the unit I ordered and Bruce went out of his way to resolve it for me. From initial order to all problems solved took 4 days total.

I mentioned to him about MAAST and asked if it would be OK to post something here in case any fellow reefers might need a back-up. If anyone needs a battery back up, he would appreciate a chance at your business and he will go out of his way to insure that you are happy with the product. If you need a product of this nature, give him a shout and let him know that you got the info from MAAST.

    John,

I purchased the Smart UPS 1250. I thought by going with the Smart UPS, I would be able to keep an eye on the battery levels. If the power were off too long, I could pull the plug on the return pump and just run the Tunze's several more hours.

I talked to Bruce today and was asked to change the site info to his personal site so he could keep track.

He also said that he would offer discounts to MAAST members.

wow, those are good prices on the smart-UPS!

I need to get rid of a couple of SU700net, I have placed an ad in the forsale section here, so you might be able to save a few bucks and not have any shipping expense if you can pick them up in Austin.
