    Default Fuge lighting?

    Is normal florescent lighting ok for a fuge i have a two 20w bulbs over my fuge but havent really noticed any growth in the chaeto algae??? :blink

    I have the same lighting as you; you just need to leave them on 24/7. You will notice their growth in a few days. Good luck!

    I thought a reverse photperiod was better then 24/7? Not sure just what I have been reading.

    I bought two of the flourescent lights from Wal-Mart that are for growing plants and I leave them on 24/7 also.
    Plenums and ultra deep sand beds > all other setups!

    BEST sump light ever. I use two of the one on the right and have coralline growing from them. My cheato and carlupa grow like mad. I run them for about 14 hours a day.
