Thread: Trigger in powerhead

    Default Trigger in powerhead

I just did a water change in my 55. While doing it I turned of one of the powerheads to clean the prefilter. I guess between the time I stuck the filter back on and plugged the powerhead back in the filter fell off of it and I didnt notice.

I just noticed my trigger noise first, sucked into the bottom of the powerhead. Anything I can do for him? I already have him out and aclimating him to my empty nano. Good thing I was lazy last night and didnt drain it like I was going to. So is there anything I can do for him besides stick him in QT and cross my fingers?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Yikes! :o
Hmmm...well, did he get chewed up by the powerhead? If there were lacerations to his flesh, you may want to consider some antibiotics...just in case infection sets in. :unsure

No, chewing....... Looks like he has been making out with another fish though. His face is one big hickey. I went and picked up some Melafix. He is flipping around alittle more now. Hopefully he will pull through.

Well he is still alive. Hiding mostly, but he will come out to swim everynow and then. Seems like his depth perseption is a little messed up. When I feed him he will go for the food, but misses it. Mostly bites before he gets to the food. He was able to get some of it down though.
