Thread: What's up with Tim Duncan?

Default What's up with Tim Duncan?

Game three he is 13 for 13 from the foul line. Last night he sank 3 out of 16? A couple of free throws barely hit the net. He only scored 4 points in the second half and I believe at least two of those were free throws. It looked like he was completely exhausted.

Hope he makes a comeback by Wednesday. They will need him if they expect to win in Phoenix. Otherwise they will have to bring it back home to SA for game 6!

The rest of the team played well, but not as good as game three. It was a real nail biter there at the end and I really thought they had a chance until Duncan's slam dunk got blocked by Stoudemire. That really took the wind out of the Spur's sails.

Phoenix Suns definitely wanted that game more than the Spurs.

    Default RE: What

I think we saw the real Phoenix Suns last night. While Duncan did have an off night, the Suns played great defense in shutting down the lanes on Parker and Ginobli (minus his crazy playground shots) and forcing the Spurs to shoot from the outside. They also double-teamed Duncan so well he couldn't pass out of it like he normally does. I did think a few of the guys looked tired, which is strange with all the days off they have between these playoff games.

As you said, the Suns just wanted that game much more than the Spurs did.

its a dissappointing game to watch (as a spurs) fan... but it tough to sweep a team, especially the #1 seed! Tim was flat and had little spring in his step, maybe that time off gave the ankle time to stiffen. Maybe the first 2 rounds are finally catching up with the spurs in general.

one way or the other... I think we get em' in game 5 then a nice rest for the finals

They will get it done, anyway a sweep would have been bad (swollen heads) going into the finals.

I heard a rumor that Tim's wife is pregnant and due very soon?

oh well things happen. I think tha tthey will finish it in Phoenix(I hope) I thought there for second that they were going to win the game but you know what I thought did. Seemd that they could hit there butts with both hands last night. Well I can just hope that they show up for the next game and end it is Phoenix.

I dont know that it would be the end of the world if we lost one more and ended it here... I'm more concerned that the spurs will get too confident and not take a game or two serious in the finals then I think we need rest. Dropping a couple of games becuase we arent "sharp" would be tough to bounce back from

Didn't he also hurt his ankle? If you were up at the free throw line and it felt like somebody was stabbing you in the ankle then maybe your concentration would be a wee bit off.

Also what is this emoticon: h34r is that a ninja or Tim Duncan's pain under wraps?
