    Default Blue Zoos disapearing

I have had these blue zoos for at least a year now and for the past couple weeks they are diappearing. Parameters are all within normal range. Only thing that has changed was replacing my 20k 250w XMs. The onset was before I changed bulbs but nothing has changed since I put the new ones in. I have had some more than desired temp and salinity fluctuations but nothing really drastic.

I did frag it and moved it to another area of the tank. All my other zoos appear to be fine and growing well.

    Any ideas/suggestions? :(

    Thanks all, Ken

Do you have any black and white snails[ Heliacus sp ]they feed on Zoas and your colony will slowly dissappear. they have a small cone at the opening where the snail comes out of its shell.

How strange...I have had the same thing happen to me. All other zoos are fine and I have a LOT of different zoos, but my blue frag of about 10-15 polyps just shriveled up this week...I now have only 1 polyp left. Wonder if it's blue zoo voodoo.... :o

I afraid this guy may be the culprit. I have seen some snails that resemble them. This is just fantastic. :angry. I finally get my aptasia problem addressed (thanks Larry/Instar) and now I have to contend with these pests. Anybody know of any snail assasins that only go after Heliacus sp? :wacko .

I've just had a mass migration of zoos... are you sure they arent just releasing from the rock? Zoos will do this if the space they are currently in is not allowing them to grow and spread or if they feel threatened. I've "lost" about ΒΌ of my zoos off a very large piece. I see a few in my low flow zones but all the others must have found their way behind and under rocks. I'd guess that I can see 2 or 3 polyps when there must be 50-75 missing from the original colony

just another idea, instead of jumping right into tearing down your rocks and dipping.
