maybe something like either one of these? the small green shroom is about the size your talking about while the one on the bottom is much larger and draws up into a cup shape when the lights go down to actinic only.

It doesn't "cup when it closes it just shrinks some. It's exactly whats in Smellybrads picture.

thats at least the 5th different looking neon green frilly mushroom I've seen... I think that alan at Tx Tropical said best when he said... "its sounds like some sort of mushroom thingy"
