    Default SALT SALE AT RCA

    Hey everyone,

I know we tried to organize a group buy for Oceanic salt a few weeks back, that never quite made it, so we decided to go ahead and do the deal for anyone still interested. We will have Oceanic 200 gal bucket or Instant Ocean 160 gal bucket for $34.99 during our AFTER HOURS SALE this Friday from 7-10 PM. For any CARD CARRYING MAAST MEMBER that can't make during those hours if you pay by Thursday morning, you can pick it up whenever. For all of you who will be coming by during the sale please let me know how many you want so I can have a rough idea how many to get and make sure we don't run out.

We'll need at least two buckets...will probably stick with the IO for now, but I'll check with Chris to be sure (we were thinking about the Oceanic, but not sure we want to switch at this point).

Thank you, and see you Friday Carlos!

If you want your corals to do well, you'd better keep them on a strict Oceanic diet. LOL

Well we had made up our minds to switch to Oceanic, but most of this salt we will be buying is for the set up of the new 210G. I remember reading that several people (one being Steve R.) recommended against starting up a *new* tank with Oceanic, but slowly switching over to Oceanic via waterchanges (after the tank was cycled) would be the better way. Apparently starting a new tank with Oceanic would create excessive algae growth. Anyway, we will probably switch over eventually, but I want to make sure this new tank cycyles as quickly as possible with as little algae as possible.
