Thread: Colt help

Ck'd all my parameters and everything is spot on, the only thing I chg'd was I added the Maxi-jet 1200's, the colt shut down right after that. It was huge and open until that point and with 24hrs looked like that.

The Xenia was happy but the coral beauty picks on it a lot, most of its fingers are picked off so that stress is probably related to the CB. Just seems to be a little smaller since adding the pumps.

Anyone ever have Maxi-jets with a short and how do I find out if mine do? There are 13 other kinds of corals in the tank that did not react to the pumps.

You could also angle the powerheads towards the glass so you can lower the amount amount of flow without cutting it out completly.

I have a tunze 6060 in a 50 gallon and I have it at a 30 degree angle from the pane where it is mounted toward the glass on the other side. I still have pretty good flow without getting sand drifts now.
Plenums and ultra deep sand beds > all other setups!
