well, i know, if it's a green cloudy stuff, it dead. smells nasty too. i dunno about the white tho, sorry.
Maybe it's just spitting out the sediment from the food it has been trying to catch? We've had a big Hawaiian FD for about a year now, and I've never seen ours do that. Can't say for sure. :unsure

i had some anemone's do that earlier this week. Looks like milk. They are all ok though, so i would keep an eye on it.

I have a featherduster, does the same from time to time, always thought he was trying to mate.
It is probably releasing sperm into the water column. It has to release a lot into the water column to ensure that there will be enough to fertilize any eggs nearby. If you have corals or invertabrates doing this, that means you are keeping them very happy. Take some pictures of the event if you get the chance (my digital camera has a "movie" mode on it that allows me to take short digital movies).
135 gallon reef and 29 gallon mini-reef.
Well it stopped that day after a hour of doing it so I didn't get a chace to take a pic thats weird cause out of the four that i have HE is the only one that has done that... I think your right that he was trying to mate I will let you know if i have any little feather dusters running aroung :lol
Thanks for your help
Dan
