Gary, almost all sarracenia species are endangered, developers seem to think draining bogs and making parking lots is a good idea. I am to lazy to research, but I believe S. Alata and S. Rubra are native to Texas, and there are some very beautiful varieties...
I have a variety of S. Leucophylla (above) that is all red instead of white.
