Like C. MYdas I am into gardening (in a niche sort of way). forgive me for not cropping the photo down, photshop is not working at the moment (and no, josh, i haven't downloaded that program yet! )

you are actually seeing about twenty plants, those in the foreground are forms of Drosera Binata, and Drosera Multifida, and Drosera Multifida "Marston's Dragon". They are all in laymens terms T or Y form Sundews, and carnivorous. look closely and you can see some prey.

The flower in the background, and the pitcher, belong to Sarracenia Leucophylla, or the "White Pitcher/Trumpet". Native to north america, it is also carnivorous, eating much larger prey (usually catches wasps in late summer.) that pitcher is actually small.

I expect that by mid summer the sundew pot is just going to be a big mass of sticky!

What's the endangered one that lives in the swamps in E. TX? A pitcher plant?

Hey dude awesome plants! Where did you get them? I have a 5'X2'X2' terrarium that I built above the reptile enclosures that I inteded to put some giant leaf tail geckos in but since they were listed on CITES the price went way up and I dont think I am going to spend the cash on a pair so plants like that would be really cool to have.

Gary, almost all sarracenia species are endangered, developers seem to think draining bogs and making parking lots is a good idea. I am to lazy to research, but I believe S. Alata and S. Rubra are native to Texas, and there are some very beautiful varieties...

I have a variety of S. Leucophylla (above) that is all red instead of white.
