Default Favorite Mini-Series of All Time?

(jumping on Gjuarez's tail feathers here! )

I have to say my favorite mini-series (IN ORDER) are:

Band of Brothers (watched it about 10 times)
From the Earth to the Moon
Battlestar Galactica (perhaps not relevant anymore since it launched the series)
The Dune Miniseries (both of them)
    Steven Spielbergs "TAKEN"
    V
The North and the South (is that what it was called? been a LONG time.)

BTW, for those of you that loved Band of Brothers as much as me, they are in pre-production for a 'pacific theater version'.

Players and Tilt from ESPN were all right. I am not familiar with those mini series you mentioned. I need to start watching more TV. Is Real World considered a mini series.

Yup, The Sopranos. Does that qualify as a mini series though? My friends call me Tony

Sopranos is just a plain ol' series, A Mini series is basically a made for TV movie to big to fit in a normal move length time slot, i.e. 4 hours or more.

Gjuarez, if you have not seen band of brothers you have got to. I mean GOT TO. It follows EZ Company in the 506th airborne through training to the day the war ends.

There is a qoute before one of the episodes that chokes me up:

"Grandpa were you a Hero in WW2?"

"No, but I served with them."

here is a description copied of Amazon:

Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries Band of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band of Brothers chronicles the experiences of these men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear. They were an elete rifle company parachuting into France early on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. They were also a unit that suffered 150 percent casualties, and whose lives became legend.
