You forgot to account for replacement cost for probes, the cost of your time for maintenance of the probes, and all the scrambling you have to do when the thing malfunctions that you'll have to do to get your parameters back where they are supposed to be.
Anytime I think about these electronic gizmos, I just remember seeing some folks on here busting their butts when their salinity monitors malfunctioned.
