I will be in Dallas at the end of the month/beginning of next month (mar 30- apr 3). I will be in the Convention Center area.... Know of any good fish stores I should visit?

Sure, Dallas North Aquarium (http://www.dallasnorthaquarium.com/) is a big store. Also check out http://www.dfwmas.com/index2.html for others.
Be prepared to drive - they are pretty spread out! ;)

North Dallas Aquarium is the parent store for Austin Aquariums I believe.

There used to be an awesome LFS in Richardson called Aquarium Warehouse (I think). Its been about 6-7 years since I was there. It was tucked away behing Texas Instruments right off of I-75. They had a whole room full of different kinds of LR and had a whole row of tanks devoted to every kind of critter. They had stuff I had never seen at an LFS before. They also built some VERY nice acrylic tanks. Maybe someone from the DFW area can tell you if it is still around or has morphed into something else.

Exotic Aquatics in Plano is a bit on the smaller side, but everyone there was very friendly and they know what they are talking about when you ask questions. They had some nice looking fish; frags too were nice and at a moderate price. Most everything in the Dallas area is more pricy than the San Antonio area so there is some sticker shock when you go shopping!
