    Default good website for researching ponds?

    anyone know of any good websites for researching freshwater ponds. I'm wanting to setup one of those small ponds in my back yard and need to find do a little reading before I buy anything.

    Did a little research myself on this, although haven't dived into it yet. There is a local group in Austin (I'm not affilitated with them)

    get a hold of old salty. he built like a 3000gal pond. really looks good.he can tell you who to get in touch with for the best price. he's already done the leg work.
    350 gal. 7\'x36\'\'x25\'\'tall, , 3-400w.mh-10k, 2-6\' vho actinic, 175gal.sump, 6ft. 100gal zenia fuge,calcium reactor, kalk reactor and a carbon reactor. 7\' turbofloter 5000 skimmer.

    If your in Austin your welcome to drop by and take a look at mine. I have one 3000 gallon, one 2700 gallon and a 150 gallon. I also have tons of plants and lillies I can part with.

    I'd like to see your pond Tim.

    Also APS has their pond tour every spring, if anyone is interested, they go door to door and check out the competition. Thats probably the best way to get a crash course of what you can do.

    Once you get an idea of what you want to do, there are lots of places online selling pond products. Even Dr. Fosters & Smith have a separate pond catalog.

    I'd like to see your pond Tim.
    You probably will want to make sure you take your time gaping at the utopia he has built - Tim has the most beautiful backyard and ponds I've ever seen!
