If you are going to pipe fresh air in, do it from outside. Garages are not hooked up to any ventilation systems so during the summer they get extremely hot and then very cool in the winter. You don't want to be sucking in air that is working against keeping your tank at a stable temp. Also, if you have anything in the garage that produces fumes (i.e. gasoline, paint/stains, fertilizers) you don't want to suck those fumes into the house either.

I run a large window unit. Tim get a big one, you remember my problems. It ran all the time, now it kicks on for a minute or two 3-4 times an hour. It is a 18K BTU unit in a room that is only 15 X 8 or so. I dont vent this form anywhere, the outside part of the window unit is in the garage. It works very well.
Good Luck

Wow, so many good ideas. Now i just need to decide which one to go with. I can probably vent into the attic and marry into the kitchens range vent( about 5' from the tank), but i am not sure about the salty conditions of the air. But then salt creep coming down into the kitchen. Wife wouldn't like that i don't think :(. Bur either way, i need to rethink this. Thanks for all the information ya'll.
