Default Acrylic baffles in a glass tank.

Has anyone put acrylic baffles in a glass tank for a sump? If so, how did ya do it and how well did it work?

Well I have acrylic like baffles in my glass tank. What I did is made a acrylic overflows in my 100 gallon tank and glued them using silicon. I dont think you could pry them off with a crowbar. The only think I would think is you would have to be very exact in your measurements. Just slide them in and glue waiting about 2 days before you put water into it.

    Yep.

    With aquarium silicone.

    Worked very well.

I had a slow leak in my overflow (acrylic) box. Fixed it with the water in the tank. Been using that same tank for over 4 years now without any problem at all. I would think a good weight acrylic is better and easier to work with for baffles than glass because it does give some. I wouldn't use the weight that you see in HD though. More like 1/4 inch stuff.

Thanks everyone. Looks like aquarium silicon is the answer.
