    Default Calcium Monitor!

Just saw this on Premium Aquatics, anyone else seen one in person or have one?

    Kinda pricey, but tempting ...

I've used similar equipment in the past in a lab. They are called selective ion electrodes. There is an electrode available for almost any element. As with anything along these lines maintenance is an issue. I'm not sure how comfortable I would be with using one on a continuous basis. I'd like to see some data comparing their accuracy as compared to ICP data. Its to soon to see what kind of durability a hobbyist model would have.

There are a ton of threads on RC about this. Plenty of people are using them to test their accuracy. I personally am going to wait and see, its not too hard to test for calcium, and I dont ususally do it that often.
