    Denise,

I just picked up a pair of DE 250 Watt w/10 K bulbs from Greg for my new frag tank. I live in Lago Vista and you are more than welcome to come over a take a look at my set up.

I will be home this afternoon after 4 PM and all day Saturday working on my new systems so please feel free to stop by at anytime. I also have the T5's, NO and power compacts if you want to compare the differences between all of these systems.

The 50/50 bulbs are oddly labeled, they should be labeled as 10,000K but this is what coralvue is calling them... they are really ATI 10,000K bulbs. I have seen a few of them and have a couple on my tank right now, they are definately 10,000K's and not '50/50'. I have 2 actinics and two 10,000Ks on my system now and I must say I really like the look.

    Hey Turbo,

What size tank are yours on? Depth?

I am putting 3 of the new 48" retro kits on my 135 tank with 3 10K and 3 actinic bulbss. I wanted to leave a dim area at one end of the tank (hence the 48" bulds on a 72" tank). My filter is also internal and takes up about 5 inches at one end of the tank.

It's pretty bright, I bet my SPS will love it.

Will do. I hope to build the canopy this weekend and i'll borrow a camera in the near future for some pictures to track coloring and growth.

    Hey Polkster -
Thanks! I'm not sure what my weekend looks like just yet, but if I can't make it out there this weekend, I would like to come check them out in the near future! I'm pretty sure those are the ones I want to go with, and with the great price that Tim & Greg can get them for us... I really don't need too much more convincing! ;)

Anyhow... I will be in touch for your contact details shortly!
    Thanks again!
