Well, everyone. The New Year is underway. I would like to thank all of our members for their generous support of MAAST over the past year and a half. Without everyone's wonderful knowledge this club would not be where it is today.

The Board has begun with some wonderful plans for the New Year!

With the awesome efforts of 360 Reefs, we will be making one of our goals come true, FINALLY. That dream is to begin bringing in top notch speakers and educators from around the country to share their knowledge with our club. Eric Borneman will be the first of many, we hope.

We are also working on a bid to bring MACNA, Marine Aquarists Conference of North America, to San Antonio in 2006, with MAAST as the sponsors. We think that we have an excellent shot at winning the bid to bring this prestigious conference to our members and our city!

Both of these efforts would not be happening without the support of our Charter Members. In addition to supporting the website, meetings, and raffles, your dues are also paying for these two endeavors. We will continue to bring new things and perks to the paid members through the year.

I hope that all of our Charter Members will choose to renew their Charter Membership status, and that many more will choose to support the club. We currently have 2 San Antonio stores and two Austin stores that give discounts to MAAST Charter Members. This alone pays back the $25 membership dues to you very quickly!

To renew your membership, or to support us for the first time, you have a few choices...

Pay at a meeting. This gives you the advantage of having a membership card handed to you in person, keeping me from getting side tracked from sending it (not that I ever do that :roll: ).
