    Default Macro a;gae question

I have some macro that did something weird today. Right after my lights kicked on tha algae "sloughed" off a green film that has clouded the entire tank. The algae now appears to be white to a clear color.
I have had some people mention about algae goin asexual but I dont really know anything about it.
Can anybody tell me what has happened? Should I be concerned? I am in the process of doing a water change to help clear up the tank and am wondering should I be doing anything else.

    Any advice would be helpful.

Its gone A-sexual releasing all its nutriants back into the water. Get it out asap, do a measurable water change, run carbon, crank up the skimmer and keep an eye on your NO3. You should be ok. What kind of caulerpa is it?

Im not sure. I need to do some research on it. Do you know of a good site I could browse to get a ID on this stuff? I had been told that it was possibly daisy cup but it doesnt sound like thats the case.

I do have a pic in my gallery of it. Ill try to post a link.

    Thanks for the reply Jim.
