    this is for those who are rather forgetful about empting their collection cup. It will shutoff your skimmer (if it is sealed) when its gets full.

    i think you should decorate is like your cooler pail. This way the wife won't get upset if its laying around or might be prone to empty it. I'd probably go with a summer beach theme rather than winter hats and candycanes.

    Is it just me, or is just emptying the skimmer when it starts to stink a bit to simple for some folks? The skimmer needs to be cleaned by the time it get to that point anyway.

    I'm not taking away from Alex's project, but I just don't get the point.

    plus, my wife doenst want the opportunity for it to stink, hence the carbon filtration. Also a must if you are running Ozone, you have to have your vapors filtered by carbon AND run carbon on the output of your skimmer.

    Alex, I like the idea, very cool man. I can really see the benefit of this after having a skimmer go out of wack and in just a few minutes and having the skimmer put 10 gollons of saltwater on the floor.
