    Default Frozen, Flake or both

I am curious to see who feeds what kind of food and the pros and cons of both. I currently feed flake in the morning and frozen brine and cyclopeeze in the evening.

I use both because I want to provide as varied a diet as possible. Seems to be working as all of my fish are fat and happy (no signs of sickness or stress; just full bodied and very colorful). They also much down the flake with as much vigor as the frozen food.

Is there a flake or pellet food anybody recommends?

I mix up a variety of various foods for mine. I usually give them a daily serving of nori or seaweed selects in the morning, then for lunch they get a few pellets or flakes, then dinner they get fresh deli or frozen with a little cyclop-eeze.

Wtrujillo, I rotate between 2 pellets - Kent platinum w/ zoecon and Formula two w/ garlic. They love it!

Ocean Nutrition Formula 1 flakes. Same people that make the frozen cubes.
I use all: frozen, flake, fresh and live. Your radio boxes don't have that option.

I have some Omega One First Flake you can have. It kills pods, shrimp and larval shrimp so its yours free for the asking. Don't know why I still have it. No takers, its probably going to make the trash can soon.

Wow Larry, I did not know that. I have a small one of those too - guess it goes to the trash.

Has anybody tried New Life Spectrum? I have some small pellets that I feed to my cichlids and thought I would try to feed the clown that, and he loved it. Not sure about the nutritional value it holds for clown fish though.

I personally like to make my frozen food from scratch. I usually add squid, clams, fish (cod, smelt, silversides), golden pearls, vitamins and occasionally a batch or two with have nori in it as well. I feed the flake just to add a little variety in there, or if I am being lazy.
