I just read something last night by Eric Borneman about misidentification of corals. This one is pretty obvious. When it comes to acroporas and other SPS you are lucky to get something properly identified at all. It usually takes a dead coral , a microscope, and an expert to properly ID one. Borneman said he can usually ID one about 50% of the time.
