I did 150 gal in-wall tank and now wish I would have taken more pictures of the progress. I have two pics in my gallery of before and after shots.
Don't put the price on the bag please.

I have a question. If my wall isnt a load bearing wall, can i just start cutting through the 2x4s without bracing?

Nevermind...i tried to find out if my wall is load bearing or not but could not get any answers. Can anyone here help me with that?

Look at the structure of the house and ask the following questions:

Is there a significant load above, such a built-up (multi-board) carrying beam or another wall? Is there a full floor above it, or just an empty attic?
If you can view the joists in the attic, is the wall parallel or perpendicular to them? Generally, load bearing walls are perpendicular to the joists they support. If two separate floor joists or ceiling joists intersect over a wall, that wall should be considered load bearing.
Is it an outside wall? You should consider all outside walls load bearing. If the house has been remodeled, a former outside wall could now be an inside wall. Examine the foundation to find these "stealth" outside walls.

    Default load walls

If you really don't know what your doing, better to swallow your pride and a home inspector could answer you questions on load walls. Then you can build away and sleep great every night !

    Sure,
It would be great to see what you are building. That is one of the cornerstones of the club I believe. Giving and Getting Ideas helps all of reef fanatics out. Thinking of more and better ways of dumping our time ,money, and inovation into our tanks. Lets see what you have. You can always check out my gallery and see my inwall setup. I converted my 70's style wetbar into my inwall setup.
