down a dark hole Nov. 9, 2004 for at least a week. I promise I will take half an hour from my addiction to change the water in my tanks every week, and that I will either feed my fish myself, or bribe my wife into doing it.

I cant believe the day has finally arrived!!! It's been soooo long!!!

Are you picking it up at midnight tonite? I Would like to but I'm working tomorrow and dont want to tempt myself to staying up all night. At the store I pre-bought they are having a Halo tourney start at 10pm then at midnight start with Halo 2. Too bad I cant go.

I picked up my copy at about 1:30 Am and gave in and bought a wireless controller as well. I then went straight back to work. I purchased the Special Edition with the Extra DVD, so I popped that in, it brings up a warning, "Watching this DVD may alter your Halo 2 experience, if you don't want it to, cease viewing immediately and return when you have completed the game". Rats... pulled it out... don't want to spoil everything...

I also wanted to grab the soundtrack, as I have been burning my ears off with the Breaking Benjamin song "Blow me Away" that was written for Halo... when I listen to it my head dances with images of a Marine Contingent putting boot to ***. It's an awesome song, alas, the gamestop I went to didn't have them. I will order from amazon.

update, I beat the game on normal two days after release, I beat it on heroic today... what a great game... I am amazed at the number and depth of the biblical allusions the story/universe has... Bungie did a nice amount of research.
