Great DIY project!
Great DIY project!
Need an aquarium
I tried something a little different this time. I increased the length of the Tube more (to create more vacuum suction) and only drilled two openings. It created a whole lot more concentrated suction and jet stream. Picture to follow. I gave one to Felipe at Fin-Addict and He says it's working great in his tank. He wants more. Hope this helps all - I love DIY projects.
Here's the update - suggestions welcome.
Oh yeah, I cut the 3/4 PVC coupling back to 1/4 on both sides (to act as an attachment only (minimize weight)) Hope this makes sense.
Gary,
Do you think these would work on a closed loop?

XXX,
What is that to the left of the power head attach to the intake part of it?
Thanks
Oh, that's a top and bottom surface skimmer. I don't have an overflow or sump, so I keep my top surface water clean by recirculating it. Don't know if it's a bright idea, but it works.
