    Default Cool Tools

    Hi!

I was over at Tim's house the other day to pick up a frag (BTW Tim, the zoo frag is doing great), and saw that he had some cool tools, in particular the tongs and a long blower. Being new to the saltwater trade and a sucker for aquatic tools, I was wondering what neat gadgets you had to help maintain (i.e. pick up coral, blow dust off coral, trap fish, frag corals, attach corals, etc, etc) your tank.

Special bonus points for people who have tools that serve more than one function. ;)

Im' with cpreefguy you can't beat a turkey baster its a mutlipurpose tool: squirtgun, suction starter, etc.
If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway.

I have some really long stainless steel hemostats that I think I picked up at one of the tool vendors at the flea market. They are very handy for feeding and moving stuff if I don't have to go all the way to the bottom of the tanks.

I have taken an old flysawtter with the swat element removed and use it to feed nori to my tangs & cowfish.

works like a charm. I also have used chopsticks on occasion to snag a pesky hermit or re-right an overturned snail...
