    Default It's a boy!

Well, I didn't actually have a baby, but I sure feel like it! I bought a rose anemone a few months ago off the internet. It has done great, despite trying to get itself sucked into a powerhead at least twice. Well, imagine my surprize today when I looked into my tank to see an unusually wide anemone... Upon closer inspection, I realized I was looking at two totally seperate creatures! Hurrah, yippee, dynomite! I was hopping all over the house. I can't wait until they (it's so cool that I can say "they"!) come out from behind the LR so I can see both of them... Also, my false perc will finally have a home to call his own. I also have a true perc, but he's never allowed the false perc to come in. He's antisocial, I guess. Anyway, enough for now. Here's hoping I end up with a tankful of rose's!

Just a little (ok, late) update. After splitting off from mommy, Junior Rose decided to go explore the inside of one of my circulation pumps... All that was left was little bits of red here and there :-(
I was totally depressed. Now, fast forward to tonight and guess what! I'm a daddy again!!! Momma Rose spit out another kid. I think I'll call him Junior again. I've reworked the layout in my tank, so shreddage shouldn't be a problem this time. By the way, once an anemone splits, how long does it take for both parts to look normal? I'm not sure about momma, because she's hiding, but Junior's out on top and it doesn't look like his part that split off included a mouth. I think I've read somewhere they develop in a week or two; is this correct? Thanks for all the help, Later!

I'll try to get a "family" album done; maybe we can do a Christmas theme or something!
