Iwasaki Metal Halide Par Lamp - 6.5K Flood 150 Watt:
    Available in:
    *Flood or SPot version
    *6.5K or 20K
    *70 Watt, 100 Watt, 150 Watt

    • CRI of 96 (with 100 being perfect.)
    • UV block lens
    • Internal reflector
    • Medium Base
•At 8 - 10 hours per day they should last 2 years using [Icecap] 70 or 150-watt electronic ballasts.

    IceCap Spot Pendant 70/150 watt:

This pendant is designed to ventilate the bulb's heat upward. The sides would never get more then warm. IMHO, they should've made the pendant to be black on silver.

You can buy these at the local hydroponics stores also. If you have the balls to do it Iwasaki also has a 1,000 watt eye bulb that puts out a pretty CRI graph high in all the colors, no spikes in the graph pretty heavy in red and actinic also. I'd like to see one of those in action to see the coral growth.

    MikeDel,
Where did you see it at?

Unless Tim Marvin know of a different hydroponic sources locally, you can buy them from one of our sponsor: http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merch...de=icespotpend Unless you have a nano tank, buy the flood version of the bulb instead of the spot version.

Price is around $325 for each setup with the Icecap Electronic ballast. They need to knock the price down by about $50 to compete competitively against other company's light setup. The color for the 65K is supposed to be pretty white. I haven't seen any stores advertiesed a package deal on these yet though
