Default how to improve flow on back of live rock

I'm going to relocate my tank and thought about building a spray bar to put behind the live rock to have some circulation back there and fight some future algae development by stirring some of the detritus that accumulates there. Has anybody done this with their tanks, and how is it working so far? I'm very interested in any kind of experience or input you guys could give me.

    Thanks

I had a return spraybar behind my rocks, at the bottom of the tank. The only problem that I had with the setup was the sandstorms. No algae or cyano on the backside of LR. I plan on changing how it is setup, putting it up higher in the tank, and spraying in all directions. Maybe putting it on a surge or scwd. Worked great though.

Thanks. I was thinking of adapting a powerhead hidden behhind the rocks to a sprybar made out of pvc. lets say something that pumps 400gph. Hopefully it will work.

I have run a spraybar like you are describing. The only problem si that its tough to get the power head out if it needs to be cleaned. Also, the apertures on the spray bar have a tendency to plug up eventually.

Since the spray bar is basically buried behind your LR, the only way to do maintenance is to tear your rockscape apart.
