I have a Pacific Coast 1/4HP CL-650 chiller that is a little over a year old. I had it plugged into a power strip with other stuff, and I expect this has caused a problem, much like the need to plug a freezer into its own 110 outlet (something about current pull at startup?).
It still seems to cool fine, but often when starting the fan makes a horrible noise like a bearing has gone bad & it will cycle on and off a few times before it gets up to an operating RPM level.
Have I diagnosed the problem correctly? The fan motor is fried?
Anybody know where I can get a replacement fan for this unit, or specs?
Thx - Steve
