    Default Hello peeps

Just wanted to say hello finally and thank everyone for the information I've gotten from alot of you.

I've been trolling these boards for about a month now and have found alot of useful info here.

I had a freshwater tank for about 3 years before finally making the move to SW. My tank has now been set up and running for about 2 months now and I've been pretty happy with the results so far. Had some bouts with algae and the like but from what I read that is normal in a new tank.

    About the tank itself.

    Its a 65g AG 36x18x24(LxWxH)
AquaC Remora with a maxi 1200
Emperor 400 (1 poly filter, no carbon atm)
    2 maxi 1200's for circulation
288 watts PC 10k/Actinic (hopefully upgraded in the next week or so to 1 400w mh 20k, let me know what you think about this)
    2 led moonlights
100lbs tonga rock, ~80lbs sand (sugar size)
Titanium heater with and external control which in combo with my lights keeps my water temp right around 80.1 - 80.2 day/night.

Right now I have some turbos, nassarius snails, a small emerald crab, not alot as far as clean up crews go just yet. 2 tank raised O-clowns (they are best buds now, and a tank raised neon dottyback.

Thats about that, I intend to add some corals in the near future, just waiting for my hair algae phase to pass over and I would like to have my new lights in before that at any rate.

Feel free to gimme some feedback or ask me any questions you may have about any of the above. I plan on being at the coming meeting at Austin Aquariums, check in hand for membership dues.

(pics soon hopefully, just need to convince the wife a new dig camera is a needed expense...)

"Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind." ~ Jack Handey
