    Default Moving 30gal to 55gal

    Hello everyone,

All of my years of freshwater experience have been put on hold, I sold all of my frontosa's and other tangyakins, and have decided that I will make the 55 gal into salt. Now, The main thing is, that I have about 150lbs of texas holey rock that I would like to keep in there, and emp 400, and a XP3..

    1) You think it would be ok to leave the holey rock in there and also put all of my live rock in there? Has anyone done this? Have about 45lbs of live rock. But would that mean I would have to put all the live rock on one side under the light?

    2) What media should I use in the XP3? and Emp. 400?

    3) I have a 36" 192w Coralife PC that I would like to fit on one side, you think xenia, zoos and others will survive in one half of the tank being PC lit?
(they have been doing awsome in the 30 with the 36")

    4) Or should i just keep it fish only in the 55?

    5) What other precautions should I take in the transfer? (all in the same room)

    Thanks for everyones time.
