Thread: Chiller problem?

    What brand/type of chiller? Mine reads about 2 degF higher than the tank. Most chillers have the ability to calibrate the Temp. Also, if it is a flow through, I would check for calcium buildup and flush it with vinegar. Might need to get a replacement Temp probe or control circuit?

    Oh yea, how much (GPH) water are you pumping through it (if a flow through), probably has a min GPH rating?

    I would think that too low of water flow would result in a low temp reading, not high, and esp. not 98 degF :o

    Also, seems unlikely that calcium/coralin Algae build up would cause that high of a reading either, but it is worth a shot.

    Sounds more like the temp probe or control circuit is busted?

    Any chance that some wiring (like the temp probe) is disconnected?
