    Default KOLE TANG WITH VELVET

 I just found out that my only new addition to my new tank has acquired velvet with a little fin rot. What can I do? He is in a 200gal reef and can't be caught. Is there any treatment that can safely be put in the tank without harming inverts corals etc? I hate to loose him but I also dont want to kill half the tank trying to save him. two of my other fish, which I have had for 4 years are also showing signs which seem to initially look like ick.

    thanks

you can get a fish trap....I used one to catch my purple tang and it worked great. Had him caught in like 15 minutes. Put in a little frozen mysis shrimp, sat back, and got him.

Just a though......I know you are in SA but Austin Aquariums rents them for 2 dollars a day.
