I agree with Larry, as usual. Whenever there is a disease outbreak, its usally a symptom of something else wrong in your tank. Water quality, or in my case, temperature. Any sort of stress can create an outbreak. My solution was pretty easy, I just cut back on my lights and going to an external pump until I can get a chiller.

This is usually the case with any sort of disease or pest outbreak. It doesn't matter whether its hair algae, cyano, flatworms, or Ich. It all comes down to water quality. These sort of diseases are usally present in a a dormant state in the tank. The stress resulting from a water quality issue causes a depressed immune system and the next thing you know you have sick fish.
