    Default Help with Frogspawn

I got this tealish color frogspawn from Robert. It has 4 really big heads (like an inch across ) and then a few really small sticks coming out from the branchs.

Anyway, it keeps putting off this spiderweb looking stuff. It is coming from the smaller sticks.

Does this mean something? Is it not happy? It is beside a maxi jet 1200. Is this too much flow for it?
Thanks for any help you can offer...

I will post a picture tonight.

I actually got 2 frongspawns from Robert, but the other one is pink/green. It is not putting off the spiderweb looking stuff.

Both of these frogspawns seem to have really short tenticals compared to what I have seen. Will they grow? Are some just shorter than others?

I've never seen mine put off any of the same stuff but mine usually extends differently during different times, I guess as it feels better it extends more. I wouldn't put it right next to a pump, I believe they like a moderate to slow flow.

If kept in high flow it will put off long sweeper tentacles that will sting corals around it. I would try moving it out of the strong flow that will make it happier.

Frogspawns do not like high flow, period. it can damage their soft tissue.
I put mine (When I had one) in an area where the tentacles would sway just a little side to side, but definately nothing fast.
They generally were the lowest flow coral I had in the tank.

Low to Mod flow. Not steady flow. They like to sway around. Thats really all they need. Thats when mine does the best.
