We have a list of pet store, but what about taking it a step futher and make a little database type thing. Like what fish they have and prices. I was just thinking about it because I have been going all over the place looking at prices and types of fish for my new aquarium. Just thought this would make things easier for us What are your thoughts on this?

Good idea, but prices change with every order, so I dont know how that would work.

It would really be impossible to keep an up to date list on here of information like that. I have always thought it would be nice for the LFS to post such information on their own websites or send out a weekly email with new arrivals and specials similar to what Aquatic Warehouse does sometimes.

The one problem for the LFS for this is that it would keep many of us from going out and browsing the stores. A portion of their sales come from impulse buys, things you didn't plan on buying, but when you saw it you just had to have it. Or as you are browsing the store you notice something in the drygoods section that you had forgotten you needed.

Yea. each LFS would have to have access to there own page on this site and then keep it updated. It would be near impossible for a member to do. If one did do it, it would be a full time job at least. But it's not a bad idea if it would actually work and you could get the stores to put the time and effort into it.
