i just found a red bristle worm in my tank...debating on whether to pull it out when i see it (not with my hands). How bad does it hurt if i accidently touch it? Should I keep it in the tank?

Leave it there, I have hundreds. they are beneficial unless they get to un countable numbers. If you were to get poked its like a cactus and leaves its bristles in your finger. Easiest way to remove is elmers glue, pour it on - let it dry and peel.

Pete sounds like a experienced glue peeler. That must suck! I have been lucky or just to chicken to mess with them. Before I knew waht they were worth I would pull them out & burn them. The bristles would burn like hair. They were Evil, I did'nt know.
