    Default lights come crashing down...

so 10 minutes after changing the bulbs in my 2 250 mh this afternoon and fireing them up the glass top that the reflectors have rested on for months cracked into pieces and the glass top, reflectors, bulbs and even ballasts took a trip to the bottom of my tank.

bulbs are garbage and i've just finished retrieving the broken glass out of the sad bed...question. my two ARO electronic ballast won't fire even after drying off. i've opened them up to find that they look sealed in resin. does anyone know where these could be serviced? or am i going to just have to suck it to a learning experience (no more glass tops :x ) and buy new ones?

btw...all fish and corals survived dispite some corals being unintentially fragged. planning on running carbon for a couple weeks just incase something leached.

Well, that really "BITES"!!! IMO, the ballasts are not serviceable. Since, I have tried in the past to repair some other electronics that were sealed with resin. Usually, sent back to manufacturer, and they generally just relace the unit.

Contact Hellolights and see what they say...

You got them from Hello, right?

    That sucks.

thanks reefer its a 120, but i'll be fine. i've got a brand new 250 mh setup that i haven't even pulled out of the box yet. i'll just have to order up some new ballast and bulbs for the other reflectors.
