    Default Partial MH lighting?

Hi, everyone. Is it feasible to light just one side of a tank with metal halides, and leave the PC's I currently have on the other side? It's a 5' 100-gal. I've never planned to "reef" that tank but I'm having second thoughts because the spot in my office I've considered for a reef already gets too warm...just wondering if I can put a single MH on one end of this tank and use that end for all the photosynthetics.

Just keep all the photo animals on that side. I had to run just one on my 120 for a while. It did fine. It was dim on the other side.
