Default Best place to buy a 75 gallon tank?

Not sure if this is the best forum for this.

I'm looking to buy rather quickly a 75 gallon tank(or larger) tank and stand. I need to do it as cheaply as possible, but I don't want a total hunk of junk either. It doesn't need to be reef ready. I was kind of focusing on glass, and an oceanic brand tank, but if there are other interesting options you guys are aware of I'm all ears. (I noticed the Marineland tanks have a 20yr warranty - not sure if they're any good though)

Pet Connection up in Cedar Park had some Natures View tanks - a 100 and a 125 I think.....

Try the new Forever Pets on San Pedro and Basse. The local aquarium makers (cant remeber name) are in back and I think there prices are fair IMO.

    mharris,

i have a friend up in austin who is an oceanic distributor. His business is poison dart frogs, but I think he would be willing to sell you a tank. 512-493-0903, ask for Phil. Tell him Steve sent you.

So has Oceanic, Dutch, Aquatrend. I have Aquatrend & overall the quality is great. Talk with Toy. He will probably sell you one through forever pets. Priced right IMO.

What ever you do, don't consider a tank purchase from PET CONNECTION!!!!!!! They lack the needs of a real pet store. Most likely it will be a Aquatrend tank..He sells them as well Oceanic..

Well I have a decent deal worked out with Pet Connection - I was going to get their 100 gallon Natures View. The Texas Tropical deal sounds awesome, but they're down in SA right? Might be worth the little extra $$$ to buy it locally here in Austin so I don't have to haul it. Pet Connection is right down the road. I know they're not real popular but all I want from them is the tank. I'm also going to see about trading him some new XM 400's I have - they're wanting to start selling them. I get the bulbs at wholesale so we're going to do a little horse trading....

Ram Puppy - I'll give him a call and check it out, thanks for the tip!

I've seen the AquaTrends tanks - they look a little cheap but I've heard for the most part pretty good things about 'em.

Geez - gotta build another canopy... fun fun! ;)
