Thread: Frame for 55g standard

    Default Frame for 55g standard

I have a 55g tank that is missing the plastic frame from the top and the bottom. I am going to set this tank up as a sump but I am looking for an inexpensive way to support the top and bottom.

I am thinking about using acrylic but that might cost to much. Can you get replacements from anywhere?

    Any other ideas?

If your speaking about the plastic around the top and bottom of a glass tank, they are there for a "finished" look. They are generally held on by some aquarium caulk. You can go by Regal plastics here in austin and get some scraps if you really wanted something like that attached and DIY the plastic frame.

As far as setting the tank on something to keep uniform pressure, the post above is the cheapest way to go.
