I found y'all after seeing something in the Austin reefkeepers yahoo group. It took me forever to find somewhere that said what MAAST stood for, but aside from that, I'm very much enjoying the site and group.
I've always been interested in reefs myself rather than a fish only marine tank. I'd never gotten too serious. My "reef" consisted for several years as some snails, hermits, one domino damsel and a tank full of star polyps. I'm now seriously starting to keep a closer eye on everything and start adding some soft corals. 55 (what was descirbed to be as a breeder tank) 3 @ 3' VHOs 20 gal sump that slowing becoming a fuge - once I get some light down there.
I hope to get to a meeting soon, last weekend just wouldn't work.
Glad to see there are so many local people that are interestedin all this.
I live in South Austin, sell cooling towers (large evaporative coolers) and also into woodworking, sailing and scuba. Couple of trips to the flower gardens are in my summer plans.
