    Default Good Books ?

As there are a lot of new people to the forums lately, I thought it a good idea for everyone to post what aquaria related books they have read and thought were helpful and informative. I'm also looking for a book or two to read in my spare time as well.

If possible, please post the title and author as well as what topic it focuses on such as general saltwater tank/reef keeping, fish, inverts, corals, or other.

Ultimate Marine Aquariums by Michael Paletta. . .

Is a showcase of 50 astounding "Saltwater Dream Systems and how they are created", setups from across the U.S. and around the world; along with lots of pretty pictures, this work gives background on each tank, parameters, equipment, other cool stats and info, and owners' summaries etc., and a summary/other writing at the beginning of the book recognizing similarities between successful systems, etc. (sorry for messy typing).

I also like Aquarium Corals by Borneman

Sue truet of Houston has her tank in that book. It has some neat systems I'll say.

I agree with the Bornemann's book and Anthony Calfo's book on coral propagation. Those are the book reference books I use most often as coral reference books.

    I have read:

The concientious Marine Aquarist by Bob Fenner (wet Web Media)
Natural Reef Aquariums by John Tullock
The Complet book of the Marine Aquarium - which is not so complete... goo dread but unimpressed.

I am looking forward to getting:

Reef Invertebrates: An essential Guide to selection, care, and compatibilty (also published by Bob Fenner and Anthony Calfo of Wet Web media.)
"Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind." ~ Jack Handey

The Reef Aquarium Vol I by delbeck and Sprung (more technical than the others)

Well I just ordered a few books to keep me busy for awhile. I didn't have anything decent on corals so I got Calfo's and Borneman's books. Then I got Calfo's book on inverts and Scott Michael's books on sharks and rays. Looking forward to getting them!
