    Where in the Austin or College Station area can one get a mantis shrimp?

    Check with your LFS, they can usually order one for you. Are you sure you want one? Unless its going in a tank by itself they have a tendency to kill a lot of other critters. Definitely not a good neignbor. Some members here have them, but they are usually in species type Nano.

    Aquatek in Austin had a few last week....one was very large
    Need an aquarium

    The one at Aquatek was huge.

    Ask Chris where he got his - I think it was from www.fishsupply.com. Peacock mantis are occasionally available from wholesalers so you can always ask the LFS.

    As Mike stated, mine came from www.fishsupply.com

    It would be cheaper to get one locally though. They usually have 1 or 2 from what I've heard and seen over at Aquatek.
