Default revised sump/refugium design please review and comment.

First of all I wish I could have made the meeting at Jim's house but I am in Telluride skiing.

I revised my sump/fuge design to incorporate the return in the middle of the sump. This will allow me to slow the flow going to the refugium with ball valves. I currently have a mag18 for the return pump and an Euro-Reef CS6-2+ as a skimmer.

I use a tunze osmolator for auto topoff.

Please let me know what you think about the design and let me know if you see anything wrong.

    Thanks,

    Torrey

Make sure you have a glass cover over the drain areas to prevent the salt spray from bubbling out of the sump.
Yeah, your pump area is going to dry up quick if your auto-top-off is not working properly. You should redesign your sump to prevent the macroalgae from flowing over and getting clogged in the return pump. You're going to get crazy amout of bubbles from your skimmer. You might want to drain into the skimmer areas first, then let it flow to the fuge, then the return.
1st chance you get, you should upgrade into a bigger skimmer for your size tank. The 6-2 is rated for about 55G to 75G aquarium.
Look at all those live rocks on the beach at Florida's state park!

I agree with Texas State. You want raw water (from the display) to be skimmed first. This is CRITICAL to the success of nitrate reduction/elimination. BTW- Joshua, seems I recognize those "old school" plants too, seems there's a leaf or two missing.
